$100 Daytrip for Family of 4 to The Bunker @ Greenbriar

Visit the former US Government Relocation Facility commonly known as the Bunker. Save $10 on adult admission 'til 3/31

The Greenbriar restaurants are, of course, fine dining. But if you are interested in traveling on a budget check this place out - Grannys House Very good food, nice folks & very inexpensive.

From their website: The only 24-hour restaurant in the area. Serving “down home” country cooking. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and unique gift shop.

The Greenbriar has a beautiful rolling lawn and a very "slow down and enjoy yourself" feeling. There is a little dollhouse store near the original spring. The sell miscellaneous stuff but I call it a dollhouse store because it looks like a playhouse for your kids. The front door is so tiny you really wonder if you can squeeze through it!

If you live within 200 miles DIRECTIONS you could spend as little as $100 on this educational day trip for a family of four!

($20 gas + $60 tour fee + wandering aimlessly on the campus FREE + $20 Lunch)
